Dear parents, teachers, and students of T. Shevchenko School!
Due to the continuation of the quarantine regime and the closure of schools and most businesses in order to slow the spread of COVID-19, it is unlikely that our T. Shevchenko School of Ukrainian Studies will resume normal activities in the near future. That is why we resumed our studies at the T. Shevchenko School in remote mode on April 4, 2020.
We ask all parents, who have not done so yet, to complete the Distance Learning Registration Form for every child under 13-years of age. Children 13 years and older may register independently. Be sure to include a valid email address to contact parents and students.
Classes are held on Saturdays between 9:00 am and 1:30 pm. We conduct classes in videoconference mode using the Zoom platform. Each week, we send schedules and invitations to video conferencing sessions to the email addresses provided.
To participate in distance learning videoconferences, students need to have a computer, tablet or, at least, a smartphone with a web camera, microphone, and Internet access. It is also advisable to have a printer and a device for scanning / photographing completed tasks.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Dr. Volodymyr H. Bodnar
Director, T. Shevchenko School of Ukrainian Studies
